Daejon Davis de-commits from Washington

Four-star combo guard Daejon Davis has de-committed from Washington, according to a post on his Twitter.

Davis, who currently attends Seattle’s Garfield High School, also has offers in hand from Washington State, California, Seattle University and Nevada. He first committed to the Huskies last August, but it appears he will keep his options open and test the waters as he prepares for his final season of high school basketball.

Just why Davis de-committed, however, is a mystery. Maybe he had second thoughts about his decision and wanted to see what else was out there, or maybe the Huskies not having made the NCAA Tournament since 2011 was a factor.

Either way, despite a lanky build at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Davis is a great playmaker and is aggressive in the scoring game. Be it Washington or another team, he’s going to be a great get for whichever team he ultimately picks.
