ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is a proud alum of the Ohio State Buckeyes who just doesn’t have time for Iowa fans and their trolling. Just ask a pair of Hawkeyes faithful who decided to try and start a Twitter war with him this morning.
Seriously where do these people come from?!? https://t.co/C1bZdlyOq2

No doubt. And to think we could avoided what happened in Pasadena by getting it out of the way in Indy! https://t.co/zYVbM9yXer

Thanks to Ohio State’s stunning loss to Michigan State last season, the Spartans went on to face Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game and won 16-13 thanks to a fourth quarter rally. Iowa, on the other hand, proved to be a team that just got hot one year and got shellacked by Stanford 45-16 in the Rose Bowl.
That said, though rivalries in the Big Ten are always great and Iowa fans proved last year to be some of the most rabid in the country, Herbstreit hit the nail right on the head here. Until the Hawkeyes don’t blow a fourth quarter lead and subsequently get destroyed in their bowl game, no smack-talking.
