Preston Parker arrested for second time this month

Free agent NFL wide receiver Preston Parker was arrested for the second time this month, according to a report by Lulu Ramadan of The Palm Beach Post.

Per Ramadan’s report, Parker was arrested for marijuana possession during a traffic stop for illegally tinted windows. The arresting officer saw Parker trying to toss away a plastic bag containing the drug, and Parker then resisted arrest as he was being handcuffed.

Earlier this month, Parker was arrested for cocaine possession, destroying evidence and gun charges. Due to that case not being closed yet, he will be held without bail on the more recent charge.

Needless to say, the 29-year-old Parker can likely say goodbye to any chance he had at reviving his NFL career. He has not played since being released by the New York Giants last September and has also played for the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers since going undrafted in 2010.

And with these latest charges, no NFL team is going to want to deal with that headache.
