Myles Jack prefers to play for Dallas Cowboys?

Draft prospect and former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack is a player whose draft position is anybody’s guess at this point, but Jack himself has a clear preference as to which team for whom he wants to play. Appearing on The Dan Patrick Show, Jack said that he would love to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

“That would be amazing,” Jack said. “I would love to play for America’s team.”

There’s no doubt that Dallas does need some help on defense, and Jack was a star linebacker during his time at UCLA. However, Jack tore his meniscus during a September practice last year and has not run the 40 yard dash once ahead of the draft. His skills speak for themselves, but multiple medical rechecks on the knee have raised enough red flags that his stock has fallen.

Thus, given how Dallas owns the No. 4 pick and has greater needs than a linebacker, Jack’s dream of playing for Dallas could be just that.
