Pat McAfee thinks his tweet led to drug test

There is no questioning that Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee is very outspoken and one of the more charismatic players in the NFL today. He has also been known to joke about different topics the NFL doesn’t really like, especially marijuana.

Yesterday was April 20, better known as 4/20, the unofficial national marijuana smoking day. McAfee decided to make some pretty funny tweets in jest about the day, seemingly having good fun.

This morning, he arrived at the Colts’ practice facility and was given a surprise drug test. These are usually at random, but Pat McAfee seems to think his tweets led to his test.

I imagine a lot of people, not just professional athletes, getting surprised with drug tests today. It doesn’t surprise me that McAfee was one of them.

After he leveled Trindon Holliday on a punt return during a 2013 game, he got tested, thinking he may have been using steroids. That doesn’t seem to be too unreasonable since he is one of the more jacked punters in the NFL today.
