Tom Brady, Peyton Manning lead NFL player jersey sales

|

It is no secret that fans of NFL teams love to wear their favorite players’ jerseys. Every year there seems to be a quiet battle about which player will be at the top of the list and this year’s sales came down to two of the best quarterbacks of this generation.

According to the Eagle-Tribune, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and recently-retired Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning led the NFL in player jersey sales. The top four was rounded out by fellow quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, with Carolina Panthers quarterback and NFL MVP Cam Newton coming in at No. 7.

Quarterbacks topped the list with 16 making the top 50 for this year, including second-year Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr coming in at No. 29 and rookie quarterback Jameis Winston right behind him.

The highest-ranked defensive player was Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, who popped into the top ten at No. 9.
