Video: High school kicker boots 76-yard field goal

Williams Field (Gilbert, Ariz.) High School kicker Brandon Ruiz has one of the strongest legs of any high school football kicker in the nation. Ruiz proved that last month by nailing a 72-yard field goal.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, Ruiz, an uncommitted member of the Clas of 2017,  decided to up the ante and challenge himself to hit a new personal best. Ruiz  managed to do just that and captured the impressive feat on social media.

So, just how long was Ruiz’s latest effort? Try 76 yards.

Just check out Ruiz’s latest booming kick:

It’s safe to say that if college football coaches weren’t taking notice before, they have to be now. It isn’t often that you can find a kid with the leg strength to boot a 76-yarder — even if it is off the ground — so Brandon Ruiz should be a name recruiters make themselves familiar with.
