San Diego Chargers ‘locked in’ on prospect at No. 3?

The NFL Draft is tomorrow and according to what San Diego Chargers GM Tom Telesco told ESPN’s Britt McHenry, the team has been “locked in” on one specific prospect regarding the No. 3 pick.

Just who the Chargers plan on taking at No. 3, however, is a mystery. The Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles are both going to be taking quarterbacks with the top two picks, leaving offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil available at No. 3 for San Diego’s taking and given how quarterback Philip Rivers needs some top protection, Tunsil could wind up being the best pick.

But then there’s the fact that San Diego’s defense also needs work, leaving Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner as an option to help strengthen the pass rush and Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey as great options.

And though all of the players just named could be excellent picks for San Diego, it appears that Telesco and his front office team have already made their decision.
