With the best defensive player in Jalen Ramsey off the board at No. 5, the Baltimore Ravens decided to pick Notre Dame offensive lineman with the sixth overall pick in tonight’s NFL Draft.
Though not the sexiest pick, especially compared to the former Florida State star in Ramsey, Stanley is a solid pick for Baltimore. Though he primarily played tackle at Notre Dame, he is a versatile body who can play multiple positions along the line and is also durable. His being 6-foot-6, 312 pounds is also an added bonus.
And just where Stanley will play on Baltimore’s line remains to be seen. It could be guard, as Kelechi Osemele recently left for the Oakland Raiders in free agency, and he could easily supplant Eugene Monroe as Baltimore’s starting left tackle.
Either way, we’ll just have to wait until training camp. Be sure to stay tuned to Campus Sports for further updates from the NFL Draft!
