Former Cal Golden Bears star quarterback Jared Goff became the first overall pick in last night’s NFL Draft thanks to the Los Angeles Rams and while he himself is definitely happy, it doesn’t hold a candle to how excited his former teammates are for him.
In a video posted to Twitter by Christie Smith of NBC Bay Area News, the Golden Bears can be seen watching and celebrating intensely upon hearing Goff’s name called first.

Suddenly, Rams fans have every reason to be excited about their team’s new quarterback. Goff didn’t do much at Cal, going just 14-23 in games he started, but look at his teammates’ reaction to him going first overall. That’s the mark of someone who is a great leader and respected by his peers, which is highly important for any quarterback, so here’s hoping that everything pans out well for both Goff and the Rams.
