Jarran Reed honors Marshawn Lynch after being selected by Seahawks

In the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle Jarran Reed heard his name called by the Seattle Seahawks. Then, he wasted no time getting in the good graces of the fan base.

Reed walked out onto the stage to greet NFL commissioner Roger Goodell with nothing other than a bag of Skittles in his hand, a tribute to recently retired running back Marshawn Lynch.

Reed explained his decision to carry the Skittles on stage which we all can appreciate.

“It was crazy because I was chewing on Skittles when I got the call,” Reed said, via ESPN.com. “And I was just thinking, ‘Hey, Marshawn [Lynch] loves Skittles.’ So I thought it would just be kind of funny. Just having a little fun. It’s exciting.”

Who doesn’t like to have a little fun?

Or who knows. Maybe Jarran Reed knew all along that the Seahawks would call his name. After all, he posted this photo to his Instagram account over a month ago.

It looks like Reed and the 12th Man are going to get along just fine.
