Former Michigan Wolverines guard Spike Albrecht decided to transfer for the program for his final year of eligibility. On Tuesday, Albrecht announced his new home, which just so happens to be a Big Ten rival of the Wolverines.
Albrecht took to social media on Tuesday morning to share the news he has transferred to the Purdue Boilermakers.
Excited to announce that I'll be playing my 5th year for Purdue University!! #BoilerUp

After a once promising career in Ann Arbor, Albrecht failed to emerge as a star during his senior season.
Albrecht had his final year with Michigan cut short due to hip issues, before announcing those issues had forced him to call it a career. Ultimately, Albrecht was able to resume his career so it will be interesting to see how he performs for his final hurrah at the collegiate level.
