Kevin Durant tells women he is 7-feet tall

Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant probably does not need much help getting the ladies since he is one of the biggest superstars in the NBA today. However, he still helps himself out some when it comes to his height.

The Wall Street Journal recently did an article looking at why NBA media guides stretch the truth when it comes to players’ height. Durant spoke with the newspaper and said that what he says his height is completely depends on the person or people he is talking to.

“For me, when I’m talking to women, I’m 7 feet,” he said. “In basketball circles, I’m 6-9.”

He later explained his little white lie and said that it is all about the position he plays on the floor.

“But really, I’ve always thought it was cool to say I’m a 6-9 small forward,” he said. “Really, that’s the prototypical size for a small forward. Anything taller than that, and they’ll start saying, ‘Ah, he’s a power forward.’”

There is no doubting that women generally like tall men, but a shorter person, male or female, probably won’t be able to tell the difference between three inches with someone who is almost a foot taller than them. When it comes to a superstar like Kevin Durant, however, I don’t think height is going to make any kind of difference when a woman realizes who exactly she is talking to.
