Former Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell had a pretty good weekend by anyone’s standards as he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Just a day later, he got a Twitter mention from actress Reese Witherspoon asking him to join her book club.
One of the biggest reasons Witherspoon decided to hit Mitchell up was because during his days in Athens he self-published a children’s book titled The Magician’s Hat. She said that his story was inspiring and she would love to have him join.

Mitchell responded and the two exchanged a few tweets about the books they have read in the past and which ones were good.

It certainly looks like Malcolm Mitchell is already acclimating to the NFL lifestyle and making some pretty famous friends. That is probably the smartest move he could have made at this point in his very young career.
