Deshaun Watson, Brad Kaaya go 1-2 in Todd McShay’s early 2017 mock draft

The dust is still settling from the 2016 NFL Draft, but some are already looking ahead to the 2017 draft. One of those people is ESPN NFL Draft expert Todd McShay and he has two quarterbacks going in the top of his early mock draft.

Not only does he have two quarterbacks going 1-2 in the 2017 draft, which would be the third year in a row, but he has two quarterbacks from the same conference going that high.

Both Clemson’s Deshaun Watson and Miami’s Brad Kaaya are early picks to be the first players taken in the 2017 NFL Draft.

His current draft has two teams who needed a quarterback this year, Cleveland and San Francisco, picking in the top two. He also had the New York Giants selecting Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett and the Miami Dolphins getting their running back by picking up LSU’s Leonard Fournette.

You can view the entire draft here, but McShay made it clear that he had not yet studied tape on any of the players and his draft order was generated by Football Outsiders. He did, however, mention that he correctly predicted 15 first round picks in the 2016 NFL Draft with his way-too-early mock draft last year.
