On Thursday morning, Johnny Manziel stood before Judge Roberto Canas in a Dallas courtroom. Manziel is currently facing a misdemeanor assault family violence charge that could land him in jail for up to one year.
When facing Canas on Thursday, Manziel was informed that he is to have no contact with his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley. Canas made it clear that there will be no exceptions to the order.
“You can’t call her, you can’t text her, you can’t email her, you can’t send her any letters or go to where she’s at,” Canas told Manziel, via Pro Football Talk.
On top of the no-contact order, Manziel is prohibited from possessing any firearms.
Manziel was indicted by a grand jury on the domestic violence charge following an investigation into an incident earlier this year where Manziel allegedly hit and threatened to kill Crowley and himself.
Since then, Manziel has been spotted out countless times, seemingly spiraling out of control while everyone on the outside wishes he would seek help.
