More details are continuing to emerge regarding the arrest of former Florida State Seminoles running back Mario Pender, who was kicked off of the team after news of his issues surfaced.
Pender was arrested for domestic battery and resisting an officer without violence, with reports that he was found by police on top of a woman with his hands around her neck. There are also reports that Pender had hit the woman and dragged her by her hair.
The police report also provides a very interesting detail.
Per the reports, Pender refused to get in a police car until Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher arrived on the scene.
That would be directly where the resisting an officer without violence charge comes from, but Pender eventually agreed to get in a police car where he was taken to jail. He was released from the program hours later.
