Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo made a big decision to have collarbone surgery following the 2015 NFL season, which happened in early March. The surgery came with a 6-8 week timetable and it looks like he is back on the road to recovery heading into the summer.
Cowboys quarterback coach Wade Wilson spoke with the Dallas Morning News and said that Romo is feeling pretty good following his surgery.
Wilson also reported that Romo was ready to take the field and start doing drills very soon.
“He’s looking good,” Wilson told the paper. “We had two practices where we’ve been out here on the field with the guys and he’s done everything. He’s throwing, he’s got good velocity on all of his throws, great movement in his legs. He looks like he’s re-energized because he hadn’t played, you know, missed the majority of the season. So he’s real energized and anxious to get going.”
Romo played in just four games last season after suffering a season-ending injury to his shoulder, the second in his career after missing ten games in 2010. He could have made a big difference for the Cowboys last year as he was 3-1 in his four games with the team.
