Uriah Hall pulled from UFC 198

Late Tuesday night, it was reported that former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout against Uriah Hall at UFC 198 this weekend.

With Silva unable to compete in the midst of potential gall bladder removal, it was unclear whether Hall would remain on the card.

On Wednesday morning, MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz confirmed Hall had also been pulled.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship attempted to find a replacement for Hall in order to keep him on the card — which takes place Saturday night at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. Ultimately, no agreement could be reached.

There is no word on which preliminary bout will receive a bump to the pay-per-view card.

UFC 198 is headlined by a heavyweight title fight between current champion Fabricio Werdum and top challenger Stipe Miocic. With the removal of Silva vs. Hall, the updated UFC 198 fight card can be seen below:
