LSU Tigers star running back Leonard Fournette enters the 2016 college football season as one of the Heisman Trophy front-runners. And while Fournette is one of the top players in the nation, there was one are his current coach, Les Miles, believes he could improve.
On Friday, Miles shared his belief that Fournette could benefit from losing a few pounds.
“Leonard was 235 to 233 or so during spring; we want him right around 225 so his strength and speed are maximized,” Miles had said. “He’s an elite guy and he wants to be an elite body as he goes into fall. Certainly this summer will provide him with that opportunity.”
Fournette caught wind of the comment and quickly responded on social media.
That’s great news for the LSU Tigers and Les Miles.
With Leonard Fournette putting in the extra work this offseason, the sky is the limit for his production on the field. If Fournette takes his game to the next level, the entire college football world will have an incredible challenge.
Last season, Fournette rushed for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns.
