Breanna Stewart impressed in her WNBA debut on Sunday for the Seattle Storm. Seattle fell to the Los Angeles Sparks, 96-66, but Stewart dazzled with 23 points. Stewart, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft out of Connecticut, added six rebounds, three assists and two steals on the night.

As a member of the Huskies, Stewart and her teammates hauled off 75 consecutive games and four national championships, so Sunday’s loss was the first time she has tasted defeat since high school.
Seattle returns to the court on Friday against the Minnesota Lynx.
