Former Ohio State Buckeyes star Chico Nelson, a three-year starter at safety for the team from 1990-93, passed away on Tuesday morning. Nelson was just 46 years old.
Nelson was a captain of the football team during his time at Columbus, and his former teammates took to social media to honor Nelson and share their condolences with his family and friends.
It is clear that Chico had a positive impact on a lot of people during his time.
So sad to hear the news about Chico Nelson. I was just with him at an event in Sarasota last week. Rest in peace. pic.twitter.com/N4XIoKZWTW
