Will Sione Teuhema ever return to LSU football program?

Sione Teuhema was suspended from the LSU Tigers football program earlier this year and it was looking like he would never have an opportunity to rejoin the team. However, head coach Les Miles provided a little glimmer of optimism this week.

Miles initially stated he was unsure whether the suspension would ever end.

That changed during a media session where Miles acknowledged the sophomore defensive end could be close to rejoining the program.

It’s a decision he’ll make,” Miles said about Teuhema’s future with the team, via the New Orleans Times Picayune. “He’s going to take a class [that will likely determine his fate with the program].”

As a freshman, Teuhema appeared in seven games.

Having a player like Teuhema, who is the younger brother of starting offensive lineman Mea Teuhema, would be a solid boost for the Tigers’ defensive line rotation in 2016 as they look to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff.
