Mel Kiper has 15 Big Ten players among top offensive prospects for 2017

We are less than a month removed from the 2016 NFL Draft, but some analysts have already turned towards the 2017 NFL Draft. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. released his list of top offensive prospects for the draft next April and the Big Ten seems to dominate with 15 players.

Kiper listed out the top ten players from each position (five seniors and five underclassmen) and 15 of those players come from the Big Ten. The conference boasts three top quarterbacks in the form of Minnesota’s Mitch Leidner, Iowa’s C.J. Beathard and Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett.

The conference also had six players land among the top 20 guards and centers, including Wisconsin’s Dan Voltz and Ohio State’s Pat Eflein. The Big Ten had a large number of players in the draft earlier this year, second behind the SEC.

It certainly looks like they are on their way to having another good year for the draft next April as well.
