University of Pittsburgh had their big “uniform unveiling” last night, but either an intern grabbed an old uniform from the back or they’re shamelessly doing an outfit repeat.
It is hardly considered a big unveiling when practically the same suits have been seen and worn in action before, but a well-executed throwback is always appreciated. However, can a throwback really be considered a throwback if you’re not throwing it back even more than a year? The Pitt script logo was seen in 2015 and is apparently back by popular demand in 2016.
So no, this wasn’t a mistake. The Panthers did, indeed, basically unveil last year’s uniform again this year. The only things that appear to have been changed are the number font and a blue helmet.
Why fix it if it ain’t broke?
