Baylor football assistant blasts media for Art Briles coverage

Things have not been going well for the Baylor football program, with numerous reports regarding countless alleged domestic violence and sexual assault accusations involving players.

Reports have also detailed how members of the coaching staff and school employees knew about the allegations, but chose to turn a blind eye without punishment. Obviously, that has led to some uncertainty regarding the future of head coach Art Briles.

That doesn’t seem to sit well with at least one assistant,  Randy Clements.

Clements took to Twitter and decided to blast the media for their handling of the situations, claiming everything regarding Briles is unfair and just speculation. Naturally, the tweet didn’t go over well, so Clements deleted it.

But since this is the internet, the tweet was preserved.

Considering the severity of the situation, it probably is best for assistants to avoid making any insensitive comments. We’re sure Clements will be reminded of that sooner rather than later.
