JUCO DT Phil Hoskins commits to Kentucky

The Kentucky Wildcats football team has added a big body up front. On Saturday, Phil Hoskins, a three-star defensive tackle from Highland Community College, announced he would be committing to Mark Stoops team.

Hoskins made his announcement on social media.

“After a lot of thought and talking with my family, I would like to announce that I will be furthering my education and athletic career at the University of Kentucky,” Hoskins wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to the coaches on staff, and coach Marros for the opportunity. Thank you to all of the coaches that have recruited me but I would like everyone to know I’m done with recruitment and that I’ve found a home. BIG BLUE NATION! Go Cats!”

Hoskins also had offers from top programs like Baylor, Houston, Mississippi State and Oklahoma State, so this is a major get for Stoops as he tries to lead the Wildcats to relevance in the SEC.

Hoskins will join the Wildcats program as an official member of the Class of 2017.
