Tennessee Vols to win SEC East? Kirk Herbstreit believes so

The Tennessee Vols having been on the brink of a breakout season for the past few years. In 2016, Butch Davis’ program is once again looking to return to the top of the SEC and it looks like at least one prominent analyst believes they can do just that.

Kirk Herbstreit is a staple when it comes to ESPN’s college football coverage, so when he is not on television fans are always trying to pick his brain to see how he believes the 2016 season could play out. Herbstreit was asked about the Vols chances entering the season and his response should be music to Tennessee fans’ ears.

East is wide open. Gators will always have a shot to win it. I like the Vols and Josh Dobbs to win the East this yr https://t.co/gh8SpOYry6

Herbstreit was reminded of Tennessee’s recent disappointments, but he noted that this year the team is “legit.”

Hahahaha!!!!
I like that. I'll take that role. I'll start the wagon early. I think they're legit this yr. We'll see https://t.co/Ji1VqgB65B

With Josh Dobbs and the incredible running back duo of Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara, maybe, just maybe, the Tennessee Vols can live up to the continuously growing expectations.
