Top JUCO WR Stephen Guidry commits to LSU

The LSU Tigers football program received some great news on Saturday, when Shea Dixon of 247 Sports passed along the news that Stephen Guidry, the No. 1 wide receiver at the JUCO level, was set to commit to Les Miles’ team.

After plenty of turnover at the wide receiver position for LSU — losing three players with remaining eligibility in John Diarse, Kevin Spears and Trey Quinn — this has to be music to the ears of LSU fans.

The 6-foot-4 Guidry , a Morganza, Louisiana native, will join the Tigers after spending time with the Hinds C.C. Eagles.

Guidry’s decision to commit comes just days after his official visit on campus. Guidry also had interest from a handful of other SEC teams like Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball prediction was that Guidry would land with Alabama, but the folks in Baton Rouge will welcome this surprise.
