French Open 2016: Rain washes out Day 1 at Roland Garros

Tennis fans are going to have to wait a little longer, after severe rain washed out Day 1 of the 2016 French Open. It took four months for a Grand Slam tournament to return, but only 10 of 32 scheduled matches were played.

The matches that were not played to competition will be pushed to Monday, adding more action to what promises to be an exciting day.

During the minimal action on Sunday, there were no major upsets. All of the seeded players advanced to the next round of the tournament.

Hopefully the French Open will be able to resume action on Monday, but things could get interesting with the forecast showing more than a 50 percent chance of rain. Bring your umbrellas.
