Back in early November, Seth Rollins was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and was set to continue his run into 2016. However, he went down with a nasty knee injury, tearing both his ACL and MCL during a house show match against Kane while on the company’s tour of Europe.
This caused Rollins to vacate the title, which set up a tournament to crown a new champion at Survivor Series. Rollins’ former tag team partner Roman Reigns won the tournament and became the champion, leading to the feud against The Authority, which culminated in Reigns defeating Triple H for his third WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign at Wrestlemania 32.
Reigns will defend his title against AJ Styles later tonight at Extreme Rules, but it looks like Rollins could be making an appearance.
Rollins, who Vince McMahon has confirmed to be returning within the next 30 days, wished Reigns luck on his Facebook page, which caused an uproar in professional wrestling community.
Could this be Seth Rollins trolling the WWE fans? Could he really just be wishing his former Shield partner luck? Or is there a deeper meaning behind this?
One thing is for sure. If his music hits at the end of the show, the WWE Universe will likely react in a way similar to this.
