The Alabama football program has a lot of history. With that history comes tradition. You can see that tradition on the field each and every week in the form of the Crimson Tide uniforms that never change, despite a growing trend in college to have the flashiest, newest unis.
While that hasn’t cut into Alabama’s ability to land top prospects or to have success on the field, recruits do seem to be taking notice of the dull look.
PickSixPreviews.com conducted a survey of 100 Division I recruits that have yet to sign with a program asking for the best and worst uniforms in college football.
Unsurprisingly, the Oregon Ducks and TCU Horned Frogs topped the list.
Alabama and Penn State tied for the worst.

This just goes to show that the flashy looks do attract attention, but they don’t always yield results.
I’m sure the Alabama football team and its staff will be just fine having the “worst uniforms in college football” as long as they continue racking up national titles.
