There have been rumors swirling around the Baylor Bears over the last few weeks and it looks like one of the biggest rumors has come true. Head coach Art Briles has informed his players that he will be let go and an official announcement is expected today.
ESPN’s Brett McMurphy reported that Briles will be fired. The decision comes after months of turmoil within the school and a number of reports have said that the coach has been key in covering up sexual assault allegations within the school.

This is huge news for the Bears, who have seen a recent string of success under the coach. In the last six seasons, the team has made a bowl game and gone 3-3 in postseason play.
Art Briles had a 65-37 record with the team and helped them win two consecutive Big 12 championships in 2013 and 2014.
