Defense Secretary gives Keenan Reynolds, Chris Swain final approval for NFL

Former Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds and fullback Chris Swain have received the final approval needed to play in the NFL. On Friday, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said the players could defer their military service.

Reynolds and Swain learned the news when Carter made his announcement during the Naval Academy’s graduation ceremony.

Reynolds, the NCAA’s career leader in touchdowns, was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.

Swain, meanwhile, signed with the San Diego Chargers.
