The Georgia Bulldogs will be losing some depth along the offensive line. According to a report from Dawgs247, offensive lineman Jake Edwards is set to transfer from the program.
“While his transfer destination is unclear at this time, the redshirt sophomore made the decision to seek more playing time according to persons with knowledge of the situation,” the report states.
A former three-star recruit, Edwards had been working with the Bulldogs’ third-team unit during spring practice.
There is no word on a potential landing spot for Edwards’ new home.
Georgia opens its 2016 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 against North Carolina at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta under new head coach Kirby Smart.
