KD Cannon, Terence Williams sticking around at Baylor

The Baylor Bears have had a bad couple of days since head coach Art Briles was fired from his position with the team. A number of recruits have jumped ship along the way, but veteran players KD Cannon and Terence Williams announced they are going to be sticking around with the team.

A number of 2017 recruits, including four-star quarterback Kellen Moud and four-star tight end Kedrick James, have announced their de-commitment from the Bears while four-star running back signee Kameron Martin has asked for and been granted a release from his 2016 letter of intent.

However, both Cannon and Williams took to Twitter and gave the Bear faithful a glimmer of hope for the 2016 season.

KD Cannon returns to possibly take over for leading receiver Corey Coleman, who took his talents to the NFL. He has recorded just shy of 1,900 yards and 14 touchdowns over the last two years.

Baylor has gotten an equal amount of production from Williams, a rising sophomore running back. During the 2015 season, he recorded 556 yards and three touchdowns and he looks to win the starting job going into the season.
