Rex, Rob Ryan making each other gain weight

Rex and Rob Ryan have been reunited with the latter taking a job with his brother’s Buffalo Bills going into the 2016 season. While Rob is looking to help out Rex’s defense going forward, the head coach was hoping to help his brother cut down some weight.

Rex Ryan, who recently lost some weight himself, intended on getting his brother down to about his own weight. However, that plan backfired and the head coach blamed his brother for making him gain weight.

They spoke with Jenny Vrentas of MMQB.com and they had a pretty funny exchange.

REX: There could have been a major, major issue, so that’s why he had to take that thing out. Isn’t that crazy? Now, I have only put on 30 pounds since we hired Rob.

ROB: And I have put on 24.

REX: I was going to get his weight down to mine. No, no, my weight started going up to his. So that’s really what happened there.

Rob Ryan talked about how he had lap band surgery to gain weight, which helped him drop about 60 pounds. However, complications led to the band being removed and him regaining most of his weight.

Let’s hope that the two coaches can help the Bills gain more wins this season and hold off on gaining weight.
