One of the greatest recruiting tools Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer has is his ability to point to the 2016 NFL Draft class, which set an NFL record for most players selected from the same school within the first three rounds.
Former star running back Ezekiel Elliott was one of the first Buckeyes off the board when he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys at No. 4, one pick after his former teammate Joey Bosa went to the San Diego Chargers at pick No. 3.
Since joining the Cowboys, Elliott and his family have been very vocal in their support of Meyer, who helped to mold the young man during his time in Columbus.
Most recently, Elliott’s father, Stacy, took to Twitter to praise the head coach saying, “we are living your promise.”
Stacy Elliott followed that tweet with another message praising his son’s decision to play for Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes.
You can be sure parents of other top recruits are taking notice.
