There has been an growing belief that Toronto Raptors free agent to be DeMar DeRozan could return to California in free agency to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, a recent report indicates the Lakers may not be interested.
According to Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding, the Lakers brass is not as high on the Raptors’ leading scorer as others would have anticipated.
“There’s a lot of presumption about DeRozan and I’m told the Lakers aren’t that high on him,” Ding said.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in free agency, but with D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson already on the roster, the Lakers could spend their free agency cash elsewhere in order to get more bang for their buck.
DeRozan can also receive a fifth-year on his contract if he were to return to Toronto, and he has recently expressed his happiness with the organization.
So will DeRozan return to the Raptors or head home to L.A.? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
