Mexico striker Alan Pulido safe after kidnapping

After being kidnapped on Sunday morning, there is some good news for the family of Mexico international Alan Pulido. Pulido, who plays for Greek club Olympiakos, was initially kidnapped in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria.

According to reports from ESPN FC, Pulido has since been rescued. Governor Egidio Torre confirmed the news shortly after midnight.

I’m very well, thanks to God,” Pulido said while facing the media.

Pulido will now undergo medical evaluation. While giving a brief statement, he was seen with a bandage on his right arm, but all indications are that he escaped the frightening situation without serious harm.

One suspect has been arrested for Pulido’s kidnapping.
