Report: Johnny Manziel goes missing in New York

The troubling Johnny Manziel saga has just taken another interesting turn.

According to a report from Page Six of the New York Post, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback went missing in New York over the weekend. Manziel was reportedly supposed to host a party for friends and family this weekend in the Hamptons, but he never showed up to catch his helicopter on Saturday.

Manziel’s family waited for 15 minutes before leaving after he failed to answer his home.

This occurred one day after an incident in New York where Manziel was confronted by the owner of a Mercedes he totaled earlier this year. Manziel had promised to repay damages, but the owner said Manziel has not paid up on his offer.

Let’s hope Manziel is okay and this was a simple misunderstanding.

But with his recent, public downward spiral, it is hard not to be concerned about the health and safety of the former first-round pick.
