Full results from UFC Fight Night 88: Thomas Almeida vs. Cody Garbrandt in Las Vegas.

On Sunday night, the Ultimate Fighting Championship capped off Memorial Day Weekend with an action-packed event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

In the main event of UFC Fight Night 88, bantamweight prospects Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt went head-to-head.

Both men are viewed as future champions and some of the most promising talents in mixed martial arts, so all eyes were on the action when the two men stepped into the Octagon.

Immediately, it was clear that Garbrandt brought his A-game. Almeida, meanwhile, was uncharacteristically hesitant. Eventually, Garbrandt came through with a crushing flurry that put his opponent on his back and earned him a first-round knockout win.

Check out the finish:

It was a fantastic win for Garbrandt and one that will likely move him to the top 10 in the bantamweight rankings. How does a matchup with John Dodson or John Lineker sound in the near future?

For those who missed out on tonight’s action, we have you covered.
