Brandon Browner calls Saints ‘weak’ for paying him millions

Cornerback Brandon Browner signed a three-year deal worth nearly $18 million dollars with the New Orleans Saints last offseason and did not play very well in 2015. He was cut following the season and re-signed with his former team, the Seattle Seahawks.

Saints’ fans were not very happy with Browner did for the team during the 2015 season and he seems to be having a little fun with the ones who are more vocal. He responded to a critical comment and called the Saints “weak” for shelling out so much money for him.

After his one season with the team, which he says he played through with a torn MCL, Browner will walk away with $7.75 million. That is a lot for a person who only recorded 63 tackles, 10 pass deflections, and an interception.

Brandon Browner said it would have been dumb for him not to take the deal. He even said that he “took that few millions [and] ran with it.”

It is hard to say that I blame Browner for what he did, but I am sure the Saints’ fans will never be too welcoming to him if he ever makes his way back to the Superdome.
