Leonard Forunette exchanges messages with four-star LB who said he would ‘put him to sleep’

Earlier this week, 2017 four-star linebacker and Nebraska commit Avery Roberts took Twitter and jokingly claimed that he would put LSU running back Leonard Fournette to sleep if they were to ever meet up on the field.

Fournette decided to direct message the linebacker and appreciated his confidence and told him to keep working.

Roberts’s tweet was not meant to take a shot at Fournette, but likely to show that he is confident in his abilities on the field. It certainly looks like the Heisman Trophy favorite was appreciative of him being brave enough to actually say something like that.

The only real shame is that Roberts will likely never have the chance to show everyone that he can take on the LSU Tiger. Leonard Fournette will likely leave for the NFL after the 2016 season and Roberts won’t arrive with the Cornhuskers until next season.

Here’s to hoping that Roberts and Fournette meet up on the field in the NFL in the next five years.
