Marshawn Lynch saves $50 million, ‘lives like he’s broke’

If you ever thought former Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was going to have any money troubles after his career in the NFL, think again. He would be quick to tell you that he doesn’t like to live a lavish lifestyle.

Before he retired earlier this year, it was reported that Lynch had not spent any of his money he made during his career in the NFL. That number equals up to about $50 million and he was able to save it because, according to his cousin Mistah F.A.B., Lynch is pretty cheap.

Lynch’s cousin joined the XXL Ante Up Podcast and explained that the running back “lives like he’s broke.”

He lives like he’s broke,” he noted. “He still lives like, ‘Cuz, let me get $10.’ ‘Oooh, $10? Cuz, I don’t know. I don’t got it right now. How much is them? Oooh, $40? No, let me get the $15 ones.’ Like, that’s how he is. You’ll be like, ‘Bro, are you serious?’ Like, we’ll go out to eat or go somewhere and he’ll be like, ‘How much is the whomp whomp? Oooh, hell no! $60? Oh no, no. Let me get the $25 one right there, though, the one on the side of it. Yup, that one’s good!’ I’m like, ‘Cuz, you are a cheap ass hoe, bro.’ That’s just how he is. You learn to love him.

“It’s a beauty because he shows us how to save money, how to keep things going, and he’s a symbol of hope for us.”

I don’t think he is going to have any problem adjusting to life after football.
