Former Oregon DB Eric Amoako transfers to Minnesota

The Minnesota Golden Gophers seem to be just a few pieces away from being able to compete in the Big Ten and they may have gotten that piece. Former Oregon and Houston Baptist defensive back Eric Amoako has decided to transfer to play for the Golden Gophers this year.

Amoako has spent the last two years at the FCS level playing for Houston Baptist. He announced on Twitter that he would transfer back to the FBS for his final season of eligibility.

He joined the Ducks in 2012 as a three-star recruit out of Arlington Martin High School in Texas. He redshirted that year and played just one game in 2013 before transferring to the Huskies in 2014.

The last two years have been pretty good for Eric Amoako as he recorded 60 tackles in 2014 and 31 in nine games last year.
