Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe passes away at age 88

The sports world is once again in mourning as it has lost another legend. On Friday morning, it was reported that hockey legend Gordie Howe has passed away at the age of 88.

Marty Howe, the son of the Hall of Famer known as Mr. Hockey,” confirmed his father’s passing to CNN.

During his career on the ice, Howe was a member of four Stanley Cup championship teams with the Detroit Red Wings. Howe also earned the Hart Trophy six times as the NHL MVP.

To this day, Howe ranks second all-time in goals with 801 among NHL players.

Howe was one of the greatest to ever lace up the skates and he will certainly be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Howe’s family and friends during this difficult time.
