Pennsylvania poll shows correlation between Joe Paterno, Donald Trump supporters

Earlier this week, Public Policy Polling ran a poll in Pennsylvania to gauge some of the state’s college sports fans. It showed a pretty glaring correlation between those who still support former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno and those who voted for Donald Trump in the Republican Primary elections.

The poll first showed that the Nittany Lions are, unsurprisingly, the most popular sports team in the state, beating out Pitt, Penn, Villanova and others by a pretty large margin.

It also showed that people who mostly support Paterno also voted for Trump and likely will vote for him in November.

Public Policy Polling’s website reported: “Joe Paterno still has a 49/29 favorability rating in Pennsylvania. Feelings about Paterno are a dividing line in the Presidential election. Among voters who still see him favorably, Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by 14 points at 48/34. Among those who now have a negative opinion of him, Clinton leads Trump by 17 points at 50/33.”

So this essentially confirms that people who support a man who turned a blind eye to a vile and heinous act of molestation also support a vile, racist man as the President of the United States.

Who would’ve thunk it?
