Video: Fox Sports reporter Emily Austen goes on racist rant

FOX Sports reporter Emily Austen has some serious self-evaluation to do after appearing on a Facebook Live chat with Barstool Sports. Emily Austen, who serves as a sideline reporter for the Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Rays, completely lost any awareness when she spewed various racial slurs throughout the broadcast and even took some cheap shots at Kevin Love.

Austen came firing right out of the gate, calling the Cleveland Cavaliers power forward a “b*tch” multiple times, but that was the least of her offenses.

Throughout the bizarre meltdown, Austen also mocked a high school valedictorian who is an undocumented immigrant by saying,  “I didn’t even know Mexicans were that smart.”

Austen also threw racists comments towards Jews and other stereotypes like, “Chinese guy is always the smartest guy in math class.”

What in the world was she thinking?

Since the video came to light thanks to Deadspin, Fox Sports Florida and Fox Sports Sun have said that Austen is not scheduled to appear in any upcoming broadcasts. Thanks to her comments, it’s quite possible she will never return to the network.

FOX Sports sent out a statement to Deadspin which read, “We were made aware that Emily Austen appeared in a social media video unaffiliated with FOX Sports in which she made insensitive and derogatory comments. She was not speaking on behalf of FOX Sports, nor do we condone any of the statements she made in the video. Emily has been advised that her comments were unacceptable, and she is not scheduled to appear on any upcoming FOX Sports Florida or FOX Sports Sun broadcasts.”

Way to throw a career down the drain.

You can see Emily Austen’s meltdown below, but be warned, there is offensive language:
