Fans start petition to boot Baylor from Big 12

There has been plenty of discussion surrounding potential expansion in the Big 12 Conference, but thanks to the sexual assault scandal facing Baylor University, some fans believe the conference would benefit from addition by subtraction.

One college football fan named AJ Hooper created an online petition on Change.org that supports the Big 12 booting Baylor, which he refers to as a “disgrace,” from the conference.

At the time of this post, the petition had 273 supporters.

Of course, the Big 12 isn’t going to kick Baylor out of the conference simply because of an online petition, but it does show there is growing disgust with the university as they continue to skirt around the issue.

And if the board of regents decides Art Briles should only be suspended one year with the potential to return in 2017, you should expect to see the support to remove Baylor only grow.
